LAULIMA - ‘Ōhi‘a Lehua Pin
Description
ʻŌhiʻa lehua is the backbone of Hawaiian forests. This tree provides food and habitat for many Hawaiian birds and insects. The blossoms can vary in color and the leaves can vary in shape, giving the tree its scientific name: Metrosideros polymorpha (many forms).
A fungal pathogen is killing and harming ʻōhiʻa trees throughout the islands. Conservationists are working to prevent the spread of this pathogen to protect ʻōhiʻa forests.
10% of proceeds supports Native Hawaiian flora and fauna conservation.
