AUMOANA DESIGNS
"Aumoana was my grandmother's name, it means "to travel on an open sea."
A pure Hawaiian from Halawa, Molokai, she was a musician and a lei maker who was filled with much aloha.
Aumoana Designs is a representation of all the different parts of me: what I love, my talent, my ʻohana, my hardwork, and my love for Hawaiian culture and everything it represents. I am passionate about all mea Hawaiʻi and have been taught a few different cultural practices throughout my life.
However, I have yet to find out why she was given the name Aumoana. I continue to carry my grandmother close to my heart and try to live as she did."
